Guidance Notes
The defibrillator is in a cabinet in the kitchen. The clear cover needs a firm tug to open it. The defibrillator may be lifted out, but do not open it until told to do so by the emergency operator or other competent person.
If the patient is conscious and responding it is unlikely the defibrillator will be needed.
The first aid box in the kitchen has items that may be needed for CPR. The first aid box contains items that may also be of assistance in the emergency.
In the unlikely event of a second defibrillator being needed, tell the operator there is another unit nearby at the Old Inn, Holt (location AHA022). You will be given a code to unlock the cabinet in the Phone Box by the entrance to the Inn. If needed, there is a torch in the first aid cupboard in the kitchen.
If any incident occurs, it will be necessary to complete an accident report form (which can be found in the first aid cupboard). Please post the form in the Accident Forms/Suggestions box by the main Noticeboard and inform the Bookings Secretary as soon as possible via email on bookings@holtvillagehall.co.uk This is to ensure that the first aid cupboard remains fully stocked for future hirers.
